The Institute employs over 100 top ranking specialists, amongst them group of experts, highly valued by international organizations. They represent various technical fields and human related sciences. This ensures comprehensive and at the same time in-depth research of all the road traffic safety aspects and ecology. Human factor in the road traffic is of prime importance and so is reliable functioning of the vehicles, quality of their equipment as well as parts coming from home manufacturers and foreign ones.
The essential areas of the institute activities (scientific, involvement in implementation and service providing) are of interdisciplinary character, encompassing amongst the others: economics and organization of transport, psychology of transport, preventive actions raising road traffic safety level, including preparation of various children age groups for participation in traffic. Other activities include carrying out vehicle certification tests, testing of the usable materials, equipment and car components - mainly for the safety aspects of their use.
